PHP (Hypertext Preprocessor) is a programming language that is widely used for web development. It is a server-side language, which means that it is executed on the server and the resulting HTML is sent to the client’s browser. PHP is known for its simplicity and flexibility, making it a popular choice for building dynamic, interactive websites and web applications.

One of the main advantages of using PHP is that it allows you to easily create dynamic content by interacting with a database, such as MySQL. PHP also has a large number of built-in functions and libraries that can be used to perform a wide range of tasks, from working with strings and arrays to handling file input and output and sending email.

PHP code is typically embedded in HTML pages, and the resulting pages are sent to the browser as plain HTML. This allows PHP to be used for a variety of tasks, including displaying dynamic content based on user input, creating and managing user accounts, and integrating with other systems and services.
